TRACK UPDATE  26th MARCH 2008

The track was resurfaced by the same contractors, for the 3rd time in the last nine months, on the weekend of March the 9th, 2008.
The following weekend, 8 or so members rode on the new surface and were reserved in their opinion but felt it was a big improvement on the 2 previous attempts by Melbourne company Works Infrastructure. After another ride by a small group of riders on the weekend of the 23rd February The Club feels we are ready for a full test of the surface by holding a ride day on Saturday March the 8th, 2008.

RIDE DAY SATURDAY 8th MARCH - 2008.    Note:-  Starting at 9am
This will be a normal ride day with conditions as per the usual requirements. All riders will need to be current financial members of The Mount Gambier Motorcycle & Light Car Club and hold the appropriate licences etc. See the Ride day page for more info. and charges or ring President Dave Atkinson on 08 8725 1163.

Please note:- The Club has been advised by the contractors that in the event of the weather being hot e.g. 30 degrees or above the new "green" surface may soften sufficiently to be damaged. Because of this advice we will be starting the ride day at 9am instead of the usual 10am and in the event that the weather is hot The Club may decide to stop riding at lunch time and possibly have another session on Sunday morning.
